The monastery is situated on 200 acres of land, partly wooded, and partly developed into gardens, meadows, ponds, walking trails and open spaces.
The maintenance of all these spaces requires a significant amount of work which in the greater part is accomplished with the generous help of dedicated volunteers who cut and split wood for winter, cut grass in the summer, rake leaves in the fall, maintain the trails, attend to the gardens, and participate in the Spring and Fall work days.
Our small community is greatly indebted to all who continually contribute to the development and the maintenance of the monastery grounds.
The monastery organizes two work days every year - Spring and Fall, and welcomes anyone who is available and desires to participate. Details of upcoming workdays are posted on the right of this page.
